Leather medusa charm/necklace made in metallic leather with an aged, slightly cracked and distressed finish, reflecting light in a muted manner. The overall structure is flexible, with the strands hanging freely, giving the pendant a sense of movement.

NATALIA BRILLI is a Belgian artist who previously worked as an accessories designer for Rochas, Céline, and Mugler. After her endeavors in fashion she transitioned to applied arts to create home goods and wearable art — our least favorite form of art and fashion… Yet, thanks to her impeccable leather processing technique, she managed to create a few beautiful pieces. We should not consider these as part of a cohesive body of work tho but rather as singular occurrences.

Regarding her technique: Brilli uses a leather-wrapping method from the 30s, where she conceals the underlying structure beneath a thin layer of leather which results in the most delicate, precise, and meticulously crafted jewelry and wearables. These creations were never mass-produced; only a limited number exist so they’re a great find for collectors of rare items.

When the days cannot be different from exactly these, the rectangle is a figure of our life. The rectangle is the soul of sweet monotony when there is one street for every day. Beginning in the house where you live and closed in the same house when the sun hangs on another side.
